The new place to be.

This place has become very popular with the Thong Lor hi-so crowd and also local expats alike. It’s also now home to most of Bangkok’s top event promoters who have settled into Greases new surroundings to provide the most upfront dance music. Featuring Bangkok’s best local DJ’s and occasional International guest DJ’s playing most genres including Tech House, Hip Hop, Breakbeat, Dubstep and most recently Drum & Bass. Expect to pay around 300-350฿ for entry with one free stand drink on weekends and free entry from Monday to Thursday.

Any Winehouse.

Restaurant & Wine Bar | Ground Floor

Upon entering the restaurant on the ground floor the first thing you notice is that no expense has been spared in creating a great ambience & lighting for a perfect dining experience. The food here is fantastic and Chef Mekin creates some amazing Thai-Mediterranean dishes that are beautifully presented. They also have very friendly staff on hand to take your order from their huge wine collection. Any Winehouse is a great place to start your night out having a chilled dinner with friends, before heading upstairs to let loose on the dance floor.

LSD Club.

Nightclub | 2nd Floor

Walking into the LSD club is like stepping onto the set for a Hip Hop music video where they have the most amazing full ceiling LED lighting system that pulsates vibrant colors over your head across the ceiling and walls. This is also amplified by having two walls of mirrors, which make the room look twice the size, even though, its only 100 people capacity. You can see the owners are very serious about their sound system too, with one of the fattest bass and acoustics I’ve experienced recently in the Bangkok club scene. So I’m guessing that’s why they chose the name LSD which stands for Light and Sound Demolition, which is exactly what you get, an assault on the senses.

The club is also home to one of Thailand’s best mixologists, Jakrkit Schalopathump, who has created some of the most amazing cocktails on the menu. Drink prices start at 200฿ for a bottle of beer, 260฿ for a spirit & mixer, whilst cocktails range from 260-340฿. Make sure you join their Facebook page to see the mixologist’s pick of the week and also keep up to date with the different events happening every week at Grease.

Case 49.

Art Gallery & Bar | 3rd Floor

Moving up to the 3rd floor, Case 49 bar is a much brighter room with a lounge vibe, where people are allowed to smoke and sit back and relax on big leather sofas. Its quite a nice change of pace from the LSD room if you want be able to talk to your friends and take a break from the lights & loud music.

The walls are used to display local artists artwork, which really shows the passion the owners have. This allows a place for creative people who appreciate art, music, fashion and food.

Outdoor Shisha Bar | Rooftop

The rooftop of Grease is the ultimate open-air chill out room. Eywa, named after the tree of life in the Avatar movie, which is responsible for creating a perfect equilibrium and connecting all living things together. A place where people can lie down on the artificial grass or sit on one of the many large beanbags and cushions whilst staring up at the stars and puffing on some shisha. You can also order cocktails and food to eat up there. Don’t worry about the rain as they have also installed a retractable roof just in case a monsoon decides to pay a visit.
